The cover alone is enough to make a reader pick this book up. Madeline Whittier has lived inside for as long as she can remember, with only her nurse Carla, and her mom to keep her company. She is bright, and clearly wants to see the world, but the only problem is, she’s allergic to practically everything. When a new family moves next door, she befriends Olly through the window. Filled with witty dialogue, this is a story about discovering oneself even if contact with other humans is limited.
