Learning the ABCs has never been as fun as with the 26 characters in this rhythmic, rhyming board book, bursting with color and energy. “A told b, and b told c, ‘I’ll meet you at the top of the coconut tree.’” This sounds like a great idea until the other 23—d through z—decide to follow their lead. The chunky lower-case letters march up a lush green palm tree that stands straight and tall on the first page. But as the colorful characters populate the palm, it begins to bend under the weight of the alphabetical parade. First come the coconuts, then (“Chicka chicka... BOOM! BOOM!”) the letters pile up. Your youngsters will soon memorize this catchy tale, and be “reading” in no time.
