Baby Animals: In the Jungle
by Editors at Kingfisher

Outstanding photographs of baby animals in the jungle will hold your baby’s rapt attention. On each double-page spread, an adorable full-page photo of the animal appears on the right and a delicious fact appears on the left. For “Orangutan,” the eyes of the young offspring seem to gaze out of the page, directly at your toddler. “I am orange and fluffy! I like swinging around in the trees.” A small inset photo under the text depicts the baby orangutan in full swing (“swing swing!”) against an orange background, to reinforce the animal’s fur color.

For the baby elephant that looks large even while standing on its own, an inset photo under the text shows a family of elephants, connected by their trunks, to demonstrate how large the baby will be one day. More exotic animals include a tapir and lemur. A paper-over-board cover with rounded corners and thick corrugated pages ensure that this board book will last throughout your child’s toddler years. The final page shows the cover image of the wide-eyed tiger cub on the right, and dozing on the left (“zzz zzz zzz!”) – just right for a segue to naptime or bedtime.
