Twenty by Jenny invites you to build your child's library one book at a time.

Jenny recommends 20 classics, in each of four age groups, to get you started. Each month, her complimentary email newsletter recommends a brand new book in each age group so you can continue to expand your selections.

The Children’s Book Committee at the Bank Street College of Education (on which I am honored to serve, and where the esteemed Margaret Wise Brown tested out her books--such as Goodnight Moon--on children) has just made its list of the "Best of the Best" Children's Books available online!

Separated out by age range and interests (such as adventure & mystery, humor, sports, etc.), this terrific resource gathers the best books of the committee’s 100-year history. It’s a great way to beef up your summer reading options.

And here is the most recent 2010 list--also separated out by age group.
